In preparation for my interview this Monday March 14th, I have just finished Gillian Godden’s latest book Diamond Geezer. David Monteath provides a great Scottish voice for this novel, as is said: ‘The only Scottish voiceover to hire’.
Godden’s book moves between two different perspectives, Steve, serving a sentence for drug dealing is released from prison back into the estate where he his crimes emanated from, and a lawyer named Nick provides the other end of the scale. These two perspectives make this well rounded novel an entertaining read. Who do you route for, that’s the question?
I will be really interested to ask Gillian how she came up with the character of Nick and after reading the end I am really intrigued with what she has got next?
